S.I.O pattern technology has expanded beyond ski wear into ALLTERRAIN shell jackets. Combined with four-way stretch fabrics, it further enhances freedom of movement while creating a sculpted, three-dimensional silhouette designed to express beautiful, fluid skiing.

"Targeted Insulation" concentrates warmth on areas of the body that are particularly sensitive to temperature. By strategically placing insulation packs only where warmth is needed, it achieves effective thermal insulation with less fill while keeping the overall garment lightweight.

SMARTPADDING is designed to achieve not only effective insulation but also a comfortable environment inside the garment. Its unique structure creates channels for airflow, allowing trapped moisture to escape and reducing uncomfortable moisture buildup.

To capture this available light efficiently, carbon-based inorganic materials are incorporated into the fibers, increasing the surface area available for light absorption. The absorbed light is then efficiently converted into heat, bringing additional warmth inside the garment.

In addition to the B-1 method, a standard test for moisture permeability, DESCENTE established its own criteria using the A-1 method, which more closely reflects actual wearing conditions. By combining waterproof protection in wet weather with effective moisture permeability during physical activity, AQUA SCREEN provides a dry, comfortable wearing experience.

AQUA SCREEN repels rain and water, providing protection against sudden changes in weather. Its excellent waterproof performance prevents water from penetrating the garment, helping keep the body protected from the elements.

Based on research into airflow, the system effectively directs air across the back, an area where perspiration tends to accumulate, helping release excess moisture and heat. By moderating temperature increases inside the garment, it reduces uncomfortable moisture buildup and maintains a comfortable internal environment during physical activity.
