Descente Ski marks its 90th anniversary in 2024.
This capsule collection celebrates that milestone with a modern take on its 90-year history of technical and design excellence and foreshadows the further evolution of Descente Ski over the next 10 to 20 years.

For DESCENTE, as a premium brand, this concept symbolizes how functionality and aesthetics, innovation and tradition coexist and mutually enhance each other.

Promotes ventilation as if breathing

The unique internal 3D INSULATOR SYSTEM breathes with your movements, expelling uncomfortable moisture from inside the garment. The design allows airflow from ventilation to pass through a concave-convex tube structure, ultimately being expelled through the back.

S.I.O Minimum Pattern

Long years of speed competition wear R&D have resulted in Descente’s unique S.I.O pattern engineering, which underpins Descente’s “design by functionality” philosophy, removing unnecessary decorations to leave a fusion of functional features as the pure design elements. Directly designing with a single piece of fabric on a moving body minimizes pattern pieces and maximizes the benefits of “functionality”, optimising comfort and performance with reduced garment weight and improved ease of movement. Fewer sewn seams also improve waterproofing and mobility, rounding out the final enhanced aesthetics.

Innovation begins with materials

Schematech® technology enables different functional changes to separate parts of a single fabric, and additionally, a 3D FOAM fabric with insulating foam lamination was developed to commemorate the 90th Anniversary.

The transform specifications of the jacket allow it to be joined with a down vest. Recycled Bemberg™ insulation assists moisture-wicking and Heatnavi® efficiently converts infrared rays into heat. The overall insulation can be adjusted when worn with its traceable down outer vest. The design, crafted with attention to detail, ensures climate-appropriate comfort.

These winter pants guarantee totally integrated freedom of movement.
The unique S.I.O pattern design, meticulously crafted to envelop the body, has earned continuous acclaim from athletes for delivering performance with added comfort. Schematech® engineering technology enables different functional changes to separate parts of a single fabric, and additionally, a 3D FOAM fabric with insulating foam lamination was developed to commemorate the 90th Anniversary. The arrows that are an integral part of the brand mark are featured as a motif, giving the pants’ recycled material, with its elasticity and smooth touch, an attractively functional look. Enhancing the heat retention functions are Recycled Bemberg™ insulation, which assists moisture-wicking and Heatnavi®, which efficiently converts infrared rays into heat. This sports knit hoodie is the result of a fusion of craftsmanship in various fields.
In developing this unique Jacquard fabric, functional elements like stretchability and ventilation were incorporated to maximize skiing comfort. The motif of the arrow of the brand mark enhances the appeal of the Jacquard fabric in this 90th Anniversary model. A 3D EMBOSSING process prevents the entry of cold air. The proprietary Performa Cut※1 pattern, designed to improve ease of movement, is enhanced with the Supersonic (ultrasonic welding) Processing used in this knit-and-sew manufacturing method. This iconic model in recycled polyester yarn harmoniously blends functionality and aesthetics, innovation and tradition.

90th DOUBLE RASCHEL L/S TEE

A versatile Double Raschel Long Sleeve Tee suitable for layering in winter sports. It incorporates Schematech® engineering technology, which enables different functional changes to separate parts of a single fabric. For this 90th Anniversary model, a special Double Raschel knit was developed that selectively varies breathability, cleverly using an arrow motif reflecting the brand mark. The adhesive sewing technology at our own factory reduces seams and improves skin contact. Adopting Descente's proprietary Performa Cut※1, this multi-use tee smoothly follows the body's movements without stress, and harmoniously blends functionality and aesthetics, innovation and tradition.
